VA - All Stars

Year 2016 has probably set some sort of a record in number of humongous VA releases, and it's safe to say that All Stars, a house-leaning compilation of tracks from long-running digital label Tronic, has greatly contributed to that record, in fact outmatching most of the other releases in number of tracks, featured artists, and subsequently, runtime.

With 101 entries in the tracklist - a number that can be hard to wrap your head around, this release continues the tradition of label's extensive showcasing of their talents, following last year's All Stars release that featured 73 tracks, and while it also does contain some previously released tracks, most of them, as we are assured, are fresh and unreleased contributions from label's regulars, most sizable being contributions from label's head Christian Smith (featured on 18 tracks), Wehbba (8), Drunken Kong, Macromism and Paride Saraceni (5 each). As you would expect, the release touches upon various aspects of house-related genres, from tech-house to tribal to progressive, covering most of the major and minor key signatures that exist, and ranges in tempos from 120 to 128 BPM. And, this is the best part of the stats, are you ready to learn how long it runs? OK, you asked for it. 11 hours, 39 minutes and 30 seconds. Let's admit, this is beyond impressive.

If you're an ardent tech-house listener or a club DJ who's looking for some fine material to put on his decks, you can stop here and wrap up your search party, because you'll be playing these tracks probably till next year's Tronic All Stars.
