Construct Ost - Analog Strom

German artist Construct Ost (also known as Construct Øst) has emerged recently, with advent of 2016. After publishing a couple of tracks on VA releases, he debuted with an intriguing four-tracker on Solid Groove Records which immediately caught our attention.

It's all about drive - 135 BPM opener Analog Strom welcomes us with hefty 4/4 kicks that are soon joined by catchy acid bassline loop, half a bar shifted, dry hats, a second noise-shaped bassline loop and electric wall; additional, intensifying elements such as tambourines, join the spectrum as track reaches its main sections. Dropping off 3 BPM points, Dark of the Moon makes use of steady kicks, low oscillating bass, dense, noise-shaped stabs, tall walking hats and stray clap arrays, with an incessant drone signal overshadowing the background. Illuminat slows down to 128 BPM and starts off with a reverberated, barely intelligible speech, bits of which will be running all throughout the track, and cautious arrangements of short hats with three dark oscillations in low and higher ranges. What follows are sharp 4/4 kicks, multiple sets of metallic stabs, layers of panned and centered hats and occasional clap attacks. Subechoes retains the tempo where it last was and employs short straightforward kicks supported by stressing low range oscillation, reverberated, panned acidic stabs and basslines, both open and closed hats and oddly synthesized crackling that makes known of itself every now and again.
